I am a happily married 51 year old with an amazing 3 year old boy. I struggled for many years in my late teens early twenties with a severe drug addiction and also have had my share of troubles with pornography. My drug addiction almost sent me to prison for a long time for nearly killing a man with my car. I recently quit my job as the administrator of a church that I had been at for many years to be a stay at home dad. I have a passion to reach people with the hope of Christ and have always had a passion for those that have struggles with addictions because I personally know the incredible grip addictions can hold on us. I believe there is not only a hope but a promise of victory if we decide to follow Christ and serve Him. God’s love is intense, uncompromising and freely given. My job is to show others what God has shown me and done in me and help others live a life empowered by God.

I recently saw the following quote somewhere, not sure where it was, but it sure impacted me.
“I will love you with all the pieces of my heart.”
So often in our relationships we deal with things that have fractured our heart. In our struggles with things that create conflict in our relationships it is often all we can do to muster up the strength to not react to the other person with great...

As happens so frequently, I was repairing my infected PC the other day and was setting there, patiently watching the progress bar crawl across the screen. It seemed that it was never moving. I am waiting for the repairs to be completed as my system was being restored to it's "pristine" state. I will digress a bit to say I am a Macintosh person. I used to sell them 20 years ago, I love...
One of the biggest struggles I have in gaining the upper hand in anything I struggle with is my own guilt and inability to believe that God loves me and forgives me when I habitually fail.
Every one of us has said the following: " I can't believe I did it again, I know I don't want to do it but I seem unable to resist." Then the guilt and loss of hope sets in. It seems especially so with...
It doesn’t matter what issue you are dealing with you always need to have a measure of faith to successfully deal with it and get control over it. If you need to change something you are making it an act of faith to make the change. You need faith to believe that the change you are making is the best move and have the results you wish for because most times change requires the decision to make...
There has been plenty of discussion around about whether porn is harmful or really rather innocuous if used in a "responsible" way. I believe it is a rather easy question to answer just with the many testimonies of destruction that porn has brought on individuals, marriages, families and societies as a whole. In fact, I would say that peanut butter is harmful if it becomes an addiction, so in...
