Well, I've never really sought help for this before, but this seems like the right place. My dad is a pastor, and he's my pastor. Four years ago, I discovered that he looks at Internet porn when I checked the browser history. I didn't know what to do, so I didn't say anything. I've kept my silence to this day. To the best of my knowledge, he still doesn't know that I know. I often felt like I was in no place to judge, as I didn't have a perfect Internet track record myself. I'm sure that now he's in a full-on addiction. It started out with him just looking at swimsuit models, but now it's gotten into much worse stuff. Last year he had an Internet fling with an ex-girlfriend from before he was married (they never met in real life to the best of my knowledge). I feel like I should intervene, but I don't know if it would embarrass my mom, destroy my church etc. Many couples look to my parents as a model couple. Would it hinder their relationships if my parents were to divorce over this? My family is so close, and I know it wouldn't be entirely my fault, but it would be devistating to so many if this got out. Do you think it would be right for me to intervene, and keep it between him and I? Or would it be dishonest to keep my mom in the dark? Your imput is greatly appreciated.
