Hey Everyone! I am very sorry for the delay in posting. Thankfully I have not relapsed. I am not saying that I am above it, but that is not the reason for my delay. I do really appreciate your concern and prayers. :) About two years ago I started my own business and in the last three months it has really taken off. Right now I am just trying to keep my head above water while I am hiring and training new people. It is still a few months away before I will get to slow down so I appreciate your patience!
I have mapped out all the different areas I want to write about that have helped me immensely to walk in the freedom I do now but unfortunately it is going to take some time to get them written. I take very seriously the role of being a teacher and I feel teachers will be held accountable for what they teach. When I write these blogs, I try to take a lot of time to pray, fast, and research. After I write each blog, I have multiple mentors, prayer counselors, and friends review them for me before I post. Needless to say, it is a long process. However, I feel it is well worth it to make sure I am expressing our Father’s heart to the best of my ability.
Use discernment to make sure you aren’t avoiding something that could actually bring you healing
I have been reviewing some of the comments and I am praying that you can see past the argumentative ones and tune into what the Holy Spirit wants you to receive. I skimmed over some of the articles written against healing prayer. One thing to keep in mind whenever you read something that takes such a definitive stance against a topic is for you to ask the Lord for discernment. It’s important to seek Him for the truth and be careful not to just agree with something because it is well written and seems to make a good argument. You have to remember that the enemy does not want you to be healed and he is trying the best he can to steer you away from truth that could loosen the hold he has on your life. He will try to get you to label something that could help you on your healing journey as “bad” or even dangerous so you will avoid it. However, just because someone had a bad experience with healing prayer doesn’t mean that all healing prayer is bad. Maybe the person administering it was not experienced or there may have been something else going on inside of the person receiving prayer, possibly unforgiveness, that caused the problem. It is not a cut and dry issue. It is like a new driver getting in a car accident because of their inexperience or the mistake of another diver. Following the accident, they vow that driving is wrong for all people and they try to get everyone to stop driving. It is the same with healing praying, we are imperfect beings that make mistakes. That is way grace and forgiveness are key for us to practice and we must not be afraid to push into the things the Holy Spirit is leading us to.
Creating your foundation in Christ through experiences
You can search the Internet and find a well-written article to back up whatever view you have on nearly anything. If you go back and forth between arguments, you are just like tossing waves in the ocean, you never find rest or peace (Isaiah 57:20).
However, if you personally experience something, nothing anyone can say against it will change your mind. It is important to get out of your head and start living out of your heart. In living from your heart, you will start to experience the Father more. Through this experience He will build an unshakable foundation in you to overcome the confusion that is ravaging our world that keeps us from walking forward confidently. Many of you have gotten a taste of it with the healing of the imagination prayer. You have been able to feel the fruit! As your faith grows and you use the technique more you will see even more fruit!
One of my favorite preachers always says, “build your history in Christ and he will make history through you.” Over the three years of my healing, so many supernatural experiences happened to strengthen my relationship with the Father. Now, when I am getting attacked from the enemy, I know He will come through for me because He always did in the past. This allows me to not question myself so much and take even bigger steps of faith in Him.
I love reading your comments! I love reading them because I see how our Father is so consistent. I have done this prayer with many of my friends and heard very similar responses. Please post how your images were removed if you haven’t yet. It is such an encouragement to me and the others who read these blogs.
Freedom from Nagging Images
Before I started using the healing of imagination prayer, sexual images would always pop up at the worst times: especially in church during worship and prayer. I would always get so upset and shame myself. Now, when something pops into my head, I reject it. No matter whether it is from internal past experience or externally implanted from the enemy, I imagine the images getting pulled out of my head and then they are gone. If they try to come back I say to myself, “NO! This has been removed!” and I reject them in the name of Jesus Christ and they go away. When the images are getting pulled out, you don’t dwell on them. They just pass through your imagination on their way out your forehead. Every image you’ve ever viewed doesn’t have to come up. I have noticed that there were certain images that were actually burned on my brain. They were usually ones that really excited me and popped up in my mind the most. Those were the ones that needed to be removed.
Now I hardly ever have any sexual images popping into my head. My mind is so clear!! I cannot tell you how much freedom there is in this technique!! I have also become so much more artistic and creative. This is why the enemy is trying to make you question whether healing prayer is real -- he wants you to stay in bondage.
Traditional Therapy vs Healing Prayer
I went to therapists for years! We constantly talked about and analyzed my childhood but there was very little fruit. I was still mired in my porn addiction and hooking up with guys. I don’t think traditional therapy is bad. It definitely has its benefits but it works even better combined with healing prayer. I have received more healing in three healing prayer sessions than I received in all my years of therapy. What I love about healing prayer is that the Father can take you right to a root memory or experience and heal it, causing you to see immediate results. Thankfully, I am still living in that healing today. I am going to write about many of my healings and the immediate fruit I received in the upcoming blogs.
I am so proud of you for pushing forward in your healing. Please don’t give up! I know it is difficult to push through and many times you are questioning whether all of this is in vain and you should just give in and accept that you will never be free from this. Renounce that! Fight through it! I am starting to get more and more tastes of freedom and it is awesome! Father is still healing me but I feel He has laid a strong foundation the past three years and now he is rebuilding me. My business is growing and prospering and I feel like every day I am walking into the destiny he created me for. It took three years of pain, stripping away, and healing to get to this point but I wouldn’t take any of it back. This struggle has forced me into deep intimacy with Father. I had no choice; it was die in my sin or submit to Him and grow in his love.
You can do this! There is hope and He has healing for you. Life is better than you can ever imagine!
Stay tuned, I hope to get my next blog entry out in the next few weeks.
