XXXchurch: TEENS BLOG

Hello friends. First off just want to thank everyone for the welcoming e-mails and comments. Many of you this week dropped me a line just saying hello and some dropped in to lay it all on the line with your entire story. These stories were a blessing to read. Thank you all who sent them.

The purpose of this blog is to tell you one thing and one thing only. You are loved. There were many other topics I was thinking about writing over, but I just couldn’t shake the thought that this statement needed to be said. I could have written about I-Phone porn, accountability, or taking extreme steps to getting porn out or your life (hint of blogs to come…) but none of these topics are useful until we get to the bottom line and that is that Jesus loves you. You might be thinking, “Seriously, Jordy? A whole blog over the fact that Jesus loves me? I think I already know this…” Okay, you might already know this, but you’re fixing to hear it again. One reason being that I believe it’s the one thing we forget the most. The people who sent in their stories this week all had one common theme-- they feel alone. I am here to tell you that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Christ is on your side. He will walk with you every step of the way. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We are on your side. We are here to help. It’s why we’re here.

Craig recently wrote a new book called Jesus Loves You This I Know. While I haven’t read it yet, the title alone speaks volumes. We sometimes get so deep into our own struggles (maybe its porn, drugs, depression, you name it) that we feel alone and that there is no one in the world who loves us or could even possibly care. I am here to tell you that you are wrong. Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you.

I hope this will bring you a sense of hope facing whatever struggle you may be facing.

Keep the stories coming.

Ways to tell your story

The X3 confessions page- This is just a little something we have set up as a way for you to tell your story. We believe confession is an important step on the road to recovery.

Heartsupport.com- This is a user friendly site that allows you to tell your story through text or video. While your at the site, take a look around. This is a pretty rad site that has tons of good stuff.

Or last but not least for a more private way to share your story (if your not comfortable with posting it on the world wide web) please feel free to shoot me an e-mail anytime. Jordy@xxxchurch.com.

On a side note to all you baseball fans out there, today is the best day of the year. It’s Opening Day!

Be blessed.

Jordy.
