DETROIT (WXYZ) - A Detroit family will get a free home thanks to a ministry group that tries to reach the people that some churches frown upon.

"We've always gone with the message that Jesus loves you no matter who you are or what you do," said author Craig Gross.

In fact, it is the theme of Gross's and Jason Harper's book, Jesus Loves You, and their work. The two started Triple X Church and launched it at a porn convention in Las Vegas.

Now in the middle of a six-city tour that stops at a gay pride parade in Atlanta and a prison in northern California, Gross, the former Michigander, has made Detroit one of its stops, buying a home on Hazelwood, then renovating it to give to a family they feel needs it most.

Applications for the home have been pouring in, and the announcement will be made at The Citadel of Faith Covenant Church on Woodward Avenue in Detroit at noon on Sunday. Then at 3:00 p.m., the ribbon cutting will take place at the gift home.
