I just downloaded your free download on our home computer. Our son’s been struggling and he told us about this accountability software which he heard from our youth pastor (THANK YOU!!!)

Instead of typing in my son’s email address, I inadvertently put my email ([email protected]). I realized after the fact I should have put my son’s email ([email protected])

How do I change this? Both myself and our youth pastor, Mike, are his accountability partners.

My teen is addicted to porn

For some time now we have been stumbling around trying to figure out how to help our son. He has been addicted to porn for a couple of years. We have worked on Internet guards, trying to have talks of understanding and accountablity. Right now we are missiionaries in Mexico and his life is much different than before and he is sucluded in some ways. He really wants to be free from the addiction, but is just to weak right now to resist. How can we help as parents more effectivly and are they ways that you can help us as a family walk through this?

There is no easy answer. I have been addicted to this junk myself. I can say that I couldn’t do it without people around me, but also the big kicker was that I had to get sick of it myself and decide to overcome it. He must get to this point before real healing can begin. Stay with him. He can do it with the strength of the Lord, his family, and his own determination. Hope this helped. Be blessed.

Adult child working in strip club and possibly doing porn movies

INTRODUCTION TO QUESTION:
I have a daughter who has been working in strip clubs for @ 10 years. She has a good friend who is well-known in the industry nationally and internationally. Although, my daughter once told me she was not interested in doing movies and wanted to be individual instead of emulating her friend, I believe there is a possibility ‘she’ has started doing movies. Her friend her her own company and makes a lot of money for someone her age.
QUESTION: Outside of fervent and effectual prayer – do you have any other suggestions on how my daughter can reached? My daughter knows the Lord but has not chosen to fully submit her life. Lately, she seems to be changing and preoccupied with earning her wages in the club, etc., in lieu of trusting God and seeking a more honorable job in her field of study (IT).

I would reccomend you simply converse with your daughter. I know that can be easier said than done but as her mother I would suggest you ask her about her life and how she is occupying her time and making money. You cannot force her to do a certain career but you can compassionately listen and care and make suggestions out of concern. The sex industry is a dark place and can have a great hold on someone, causing them to seek things like making more money from different opportunities, associate with different people and make different life choices. This isn’t always true but there is often a “one thing leads to another” mentality. It is easy to get sucked into things one might have never imagined. I would approach her with this mentality, one of understanding, grace and concern. She might be defensive but I hope she is able to see the love and concern you bring. Aside from that, keep praying that God would soften her heart and lead her back to a pure and honorable life.
